Ecojob is seeking a Head Pastry Chef for our Bayan, Kuwait restaurant. You will lead the pastry team, oversee daily production of desserts, pastries, and breads, and drive menu innovation while ensuring high quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
• Ability to lead a team effectively with strong communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.

• Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and update pastry menus to incorporate seasonal ingredients and new trends.
• Train and mentor pastry chefs on proper techniques, recipes, and plating presentations.
• Oversee daily production of all pastry items including desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items.
• Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain stock.
• Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with other kitchen departments to coordinate menu offerings.
• Manage food cost by monitoring portion control and minimizing waste.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and menu planning.
