Job summary

Work standard in Kuwait seeks a Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry department, design menus, manage inventory and guide a skilled team to deliver high-quality desserts, pastries, and breads.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a high-volume kitchen, a proven record of menu innovation, and strong leadership with a focus on food safety. English fluency is required; Malayalee speakers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
• Proven track record of creating innovative pastry menus.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement new pastry menus that align with our restaurant's concept and standards.
• Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure a well-stocked and efficient kitchen.
• Train and mentor pastry chefs to maintain high-quality standards and develop their skills.
• Oversee the production of all pastries, desserts, and breads in a timely manner.
• Ensure food safety practices are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with other departments to create dessert options for special events or catering orders.
