Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking staff to provide customer service to library patrons, including circulation, reference support, and technical assistance. You will check materials in and out, process inter-library loans, manage fines and notices, and help maintain library systems and inventory.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
One year of library support or related experience preferred.
Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to library patrons via phone, in person, and online.
Check materials in/out, circulate, and manage holds and requests using library systems.
Handle fines, notices, invoices, and maintain accurate records.
Provide routine technical support and guide patrons to appropriate staff.
Process inter-library loans and assist with loan policies.
Maintain library inventory and supplies; ensure equipment is in working order.
Maintain and organize the library collection, perform shelving and shelf-reading.
Perform other duties as assigned.
