To provide primary technical on-site support, organize work processes and procedures for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment installed and operating at our facilities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore (SEA), and at any other facilities as directed by the Regional Electrical Engineering Manager.

• Ensure efficient and effective implementation of all electrical safe work practices and standards in accordance with worldwide practices.
• Provide and execute training and qualification programs for all plant-based operation and maintenance personnel handling electrical equipment such as medium voltage switchgear, low voltage control centers, and similar equipment.
• Provide technical solutions through remote and/or on-site support for the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment, including analysis, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements.
• Ensure safe execution of technical changes and modifications to electrical systems for continuous operation.
• Provide technical leadership by supplying information, drawings, manuals, and documentation for electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Manage and implement projects and initiatives as directed by Regional Management in coordination with Operations Management.
• Participate actively in root cause analysis teams to prevent equipment failure recurrence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on heavy power technology. Relevant postgraduate specialization will be considered.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial environment such as chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, oil refinery, power plant, or steel mill.
• Technical competencies in electrical equipment across various systems, with starting competencies including troubleshooting, protection relaying, control operations, and knowledge of hazardous area installations.
• Proficiency in medium voltage switchgear, low voltage motor controls, variable frequency drives, and electrical analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of induction motor operations, electrical network switching, UPS systems, and transformers.
• Ability to work independently, support maintenance and plant management, and travel within SEA and Asia as needed.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willing to be based in Prai or Shah Alam.
