Buyer Specialist - fixed contract

The Buyer Specialist will be responsible for respecting the project schedule, managing procurement, and for all activities related to supply chain management.

• Implement the QMS in the area of responsibility
• Shared responsibility for respecting the project budget, product cost, and tooling cost
• Define the Supply Chain for new components, sub-assemblies, or complete products
• Responsible for the cost of new components, sub-assemblies, or complete products purchased, as well as the cost of the necessary tooling
• Responsible for respecting the project schedule (delivery of components) during the various project phases
• Prepare Project Purchasing documentation
• Select suppliers in a global multi-functional environment (Purchasing, Quality, Procurement, R&D) in line with the Global Strategy
• Ensure the qualification of new suppliers via the Hill-Rom certification process
• Involve in supplier projects at an early stage (ESI) to bring supplier technical expertise during development of Videomed products
• Establish and implement energy performance assessment criteria in contract negotiations for energy-using products, equipment and services
• Inform suppliers that energy performance is an evaluation criterion for purchases with significant energy use

• Strong team player to drive quality improvement in a constructive manner
• Highly organized and efficient in planning and execution of complex, cross-cutting projects
• Able to solve complex problems through action or alternative solutions
• Able to communicate effectively in a complex multicultural and technical environment
• Able to positively influence project decisions to impact product development or commercial results
• Able to maintain personal integrity in difficult professional situations
• Analytical capabilities: Able to understand and interpret project budgets and support analysis on financial models
• In-depth knowledge of the new product development cycle
• Knowledge of various markets related to our business
• Negotiation experience and knowledge of key business conditions affecting the Hill-Rom cost model
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Responsible for part in the Supplier Quality Lifecycle Management
