Position: Injection Molding Process Specialist

The Injection Molding Process Specialist is responsible for developing new production and plastic processes for various models, operating injection machines, and managing mold start-up with a focus on optimizing processes and improving productivity to ensure the smooth launch of programs. Back-office activities may be conducted remotely; however, frequent business trips across Europe are required.

• Provide technical knowledge to support the start of production and continuous improvement of other models for serial life to achieve operational excellence.
• Define and plan the molds tryouts in the production plant.
• Define the molding parameters on the production presses based on what has been consolidated in the tryouts at the tool maker.
• Analyze and verify, in collaboration with Pilot, Product Technical Leader, and Secondary Tooling, the critical issues highlighted on pre-production and start-up parts, verifying and defining molds tuning.
• Support the Production Site Start-up Manager, in collaboration with the Laboratory and Quality, to produce sampling for approval, qualification, and production approval.
• Support the production plant for the final “mold approval” management.
• Support the Production Start-up Manager of the production site in significant molding problems through active participation, for the diagnosis and resolution of technical and qualitative anomalies attributable to the molding process.
• Support the production site in the technical training of molding workers.
• Suggest maintenance activities for the operation of the molds by integrating what is suggested by the mold maker.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in similar activities.
• Expertise in bumper and dashboard injection molding is particularly valued.
• Completion of a Technical Institute or a similar educational background.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Fluency in either French or Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of Italian is appreciated.
