JD.com, Inc. seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager for Hazardous Goods to oversee all storage, handling, and distribution operations. The role ensures compliance with regulations while driving efficiency and safety across the warehouse.

Responsibilities include leading a team, implementing safety programs, auditing compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high safety standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of warehouse management experience, with at least 5 years in hazardous goods.
• Strong knowledge of national and international hazardous materials regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA DGR, IMDG Code, OSHA).
• HazMat certifications (e.g., HazMat Technician, DG Shipper) are highly preferred.

Job Summary

JD.com, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager for Hazardous Goods to oversee all aspects of our hazardous materials storage, handling, and distribution operations. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, optimizing warehouse efficiency, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce robust safety protocols and procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials, in full compliance with national and international regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG, local fire codes).
• Manage and optimize warehouse layouts, inventory systems, and material flow for hazardous goods to maximize efficiency, capacity, and safety.
• Oversee the receipt, inspection, labeling, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of hazardous materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse personnel, providing ongoing coaching and performance management to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, safety, legal) and external agencies to ensure seamless operations and regulatory adherence.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising safety or compliance.
• Implement and maintain robust record-keeping systems for all hazardous goods movements, incidents, and training.
• Respond to and investigate any incidents involving hazardous materials, implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving hazardous materials regulations and industry best practices, integrating changes into operational procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, with at least 5 years specifically managing hazardous goods.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international hazardous materials regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA DGR, IMDG Code, OSHA, local fire codes).
• Certifications in hazardous materials handling (e.g., HazMat Technician, DG Shipper) are highly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety programs for hazardous goods.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing regulatory environments.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
