Job summary

Leonardo seeks a Delivery Manager – Vendor Management for GCAP HQ, with a base in Italy and a two-year Reading secondment in the UK. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in vendor management or delivery management in complex, regulated environments such as aerospace/defence.
• Degree in engineering, business management, supply chain or related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in contract management, SLA enforcement, and vendor performance monitoring.
• Strong understanding of vendor governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and system integrators across complex delivery landscapes.
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and value for money in vendor engagements.
• Experience supporting toolset selection and technology evaluations with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities while maintaining delivery focus.
• Strong delivery mindset with experience in waterfall, agile, or hybrid delivery models.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end vendor delivery across multiple suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure vendor deliverables meet contractual obligations, roadmaps, schedules, and quality standards.
• Drive cost optimization and value for money while aligning with enterprise objectives.
• Support toolset selection and technology evaluations to ensure seamless integration into architecture.
• Manage upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning activities for vendor-delivered solutions.
• Monitor governance guidelines, risk and compliance, and report on performance metrics.
