Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager – Vendor Management to oversee end-to-end vendor delivery for GCAP HQ, with a two-year secondment to Reading. Base location is Italy, supported by a hybrid working model.

You will drive vendor performance, governance, and cost optimization while coordinating with stakeholders and toolset evaluations to ensure high-quality, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in vendor or delivery management in complex, regulated environments.
• Degree in engineering, business management and negotiation, supply chain, or related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in contract management, SLA enforcement, and vendor performance monitoring.
• Strong understanding of vendor governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and system integrators across delivery landscapes.
• Ability to balance cost optimization with value for money in vendor engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery and vendor lifecycle management.
• Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, roadmaps, schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor SLAs and enforce vendor performance with structured rating.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on toolset selection and technology evaluations.
• Coordinate delivery across vendors and internal teams with clear ownership.
