Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team is seeking a brilliant Junior Composite R&D Engineer. You will release plybooks, lamination data and repair schemes for production and track operations, and define lay-up for carbon components in compliance with internal rules.

You will collaborate with Design, Production and Quality Control, liaising with external suppliers as needed, and ensure timely progress updates and milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's in engineering (Materials/Mechanical/Aerospace).
• Knowledge of plybook creation tools and layup simulation software.
• Familiar with NX CAD and composite design software.
• Proficient in Italian and English communication.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a brilliant Junior Composite R&D Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for releasing plybooks, lamination digital information and repair scheme of the assigned car parts towards production and track operations. You will define car part lay-up for carbon component manufacturing in compliance with interna rules, procedures and processes.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

Composite Plybooks

Ensure a strong communication flow regarding design, materials, number and orientation of plies, inserts, cores, cure cycles, and manufacturing processes. Develop 3D and 2D ply layups using NX CAD and its composite design tools, including Fibersim, Laminate Tools, and Composite Design. Define the appropriate cure cycles and debulking procedures for the production of automotive components, in collaboration with the R&D Composite Technology Group. Prepare, compile, and release plybooks for production. Liaise effectively with internal departments—including Design, Production, and Quality Control—as well as external suppliers. Complete assigned tasks and provide timely feedback on work status, progress, and milestone achievement whenever required.

Your Application

In line with pay transparency regulations (Legislative Decree 96/2026), the minimum fixed salary for this role is the contractual minimum set by the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (Federmeccanica/Assistal) for classification level C3. We specify that the above mentioned level is a minimum threshold and does not correspond to the overall compensation package, which is determined by objective, measurable and gender-neutral criteria, being significantly higher than the contractual minimum indicated.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of software tools used to prepare and compile plybooks, such as CorelDRAW.
• Basic knowledge of software tools used for ply draping and layup simulation, preferably Fibersim and Laminate Tools.
• Basic knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX.
• Good understanding of composite design and manufacturing processes, particularly those involving prepreg materials.
• Proactive and innovative mindset.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a hands-on approach.
• Good communication skills in both Italian and English.
