Job summary

SMA Solar Technology AG is seeking an Application Engineer for large-scale projects in Milano, Italy. You will deliver advanced technical support, design optimization, and strategic consulting for solar, storage, and integrated energy solutions.

You will engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure compliant, efficient designs and successful project execution across multiple regions. Proactive training and technical leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field, with relevant electrical experience.
• 3+ years in pre-sales, application engineering, or similar role.
• Deep knowledge of Italian PV and energy storage markets, and grid compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical support and engineering consulting to customers.
• Collaborate with Sales on utility-scale PV and storage projects, offering in-depth analyses.
• Attend customer meetings with the sales team as the technical interface.
