Job summary

JYSK is seeking a Transport Specialist for its new Distribution Center Veneto (DCV) in Italy. The role focuses on transport organization and supervision of all transports for JYSK, including domestic and international shipping, inbound, outbound and inter-warehouse moves.

You will coordinate carrier relationships, track deliveries, manage freight settlements, and generate operational reports to support logistics across our European network.

Qualifications

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economy, Statistics or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in freight forwarding or transport administration.
• Strong organization, prioritisation and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize transports to stores and other distribution centers.
• Negotiate terms with carriers and enforce agreements.
• Track deliveries from suppliers to DCV and DCV to stores; initiate corrective actions.
• Process freight settlements and monitor carrier invoices and rates.
• Maintain documentation for transport records and inter-warehouse moves.
• Coordinate quarterly loading/delivery schedules with Warehouse and Retail.
• Monitor transportation offers across all DCV-served countries.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and related documentation.
• Generate reports and analyses on pallet trade and transports as directed.
• Prepare meetings and presentations with sales and carriers.

Job Description

We are looking for a result-driven, proactive, competent and committed Transport Specialist with strong organization skills and potential to develop with the business.

You will be located in the Distribution Center Veneto (DCV) and you will be responsible for transport organization and direct supervision of all transports executed for the needs of JYSK including domestic and international shipping, inbound, outbound and inter-warehouse transports.

WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL BE ABOUT:

• Organization of transports to JYSK stores and other Distribution centers
• Determination, negotiation and enforcing the terms of the cooperation with carriers according to JYSK Operating Procedures and agreements signed with carriers
• Tracking of deliveries from suppliers and external warehouses to DCV and from DCV to stores, initiation of corrective actions when needed
• Freight settlement with carriers/control over rates and issued invoices
• Collection and storage of documents in evidence of commodity transport to shops and inter-warehouse transports
• Control over and generation of quarterly schedules of loadings and deliveries in close cooperation with the Warehouse section and Retail
• Market monitoring and searching for transportation and shipping service offers in all countries served by DCV
• Knowledge of regulations in force and the documentation related to the domestic and international transport and shipping
• Generates and updates databases, reports and analyses regarding pallet trade and organized transports in line with the superior’s instructions
• Preparation of meetings and presentations with the sales division and with carriers

Qualifications

WHAT YOU MUST TO BRING:

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economy, Statistics, Business Administration or another related area
• 3-4 years of previous experience in freight forwarding or transport administration
• Very good organization and prioritisation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high quality of results
• Strong attention to details
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication and cooperation skills and customer-first attitude
• Good command of English – both written and verbal
• Very good command of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
