Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Monselice (Padova) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for power transformers. You will produce 3D designs of transformer internal parts, ensure conformance to specifications, and support design reviews and verifications.

The role requires 3–4 years in mechanical/electromechanical design, CAD 2D/3D expertise, and English/Italian proficiency. Occasional travel to customers/suppliers is expected, with opportunities to contribute to cost and quality improvements.

Competenze

• Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma (electrical/mechanical).
• 3/4 years of experience in mechanical / electromechanical design.
• Experience in transformers field is a plus.
• Good knowledge of CAD 2D/3D.
• PTC Creo Parametric, SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Good knowledge of English and Italian.
• Availability for short, occasional trips to customers/suppliers.

Mansioni

• 3D design of mechanical internal parts of transformer per spec.
• Identify variation requests for contract changes.
• Follow work plans and cost estimates; ensure quality on time.
• Perform risk and opportunity assessments; report issues.
• Attend project meetings; collaborate with supply chain; review vendor docs.
• Create specs for purchase/manufacturing; interface with suppliers.
• Use internal standards; uphold safety and integrity.
• Communicate with customers about design assignments.
