Experteer Italy is seeking a Train Systems Engineer to contribute to the electrical and vehicle systems architecture of railway rolling stock, supporting TCMS integration and vehicle performance validation.

You will collaborate within an engineering team to define traction, simulations, and test specifications, guiding the product lifecycle from design to field feedback in a fast-paced, international environment.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the railway industry as Train Systems Engineer.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic/system engineering processes and railway regulations.
• Familiar with on-board systems regulations in the railway field.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia) and IBM DOORS.

In this role you will contribute to the electrical and vehicle systems architecture of railway rolling stock, supporting TCMS integration and vehicle performance validation. You will collaborate within an engineering team to define traction, simulations, and test specifications, guiding the product lifecycle from design to field feedback. The position places you in a fast-paced, international environment where your work shapes on-board system reliability and overall vehicle performance. This is a hands‑on role with scope across architecture, testing, and functional integration.

• Prepare electrical architecture documentation for high, medium and low voltage systems
• Define vehicle architecture for the TCMS
• Define traction curves and develop driving simulations
• Develop functional specifications for vehicle integration
• Prepare vehicle test specifications
• Support performance and functional tests of the vehicle
• Experience of at least 5 years in the railway industry as Train Systems Engineer
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic/system engineering processes and corresponding railway regulations
• Familiar with on‑board systems regulations in the railway field
• Proficiency with main office automation software (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of RAMS concepts is advantageous
• Experience with design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia) and IBM DOORS
• Ability to work autonomously and in cross‑functional, international teams
• Willingness to travel for short national and international trips
