Oceanair in the Greater Rome Metropolitan Area, Italy, seeks an experienced Licensed Tour Guide & Operations Executive to join our team. The role combines professional tour guiding with day-to-day tour operations to deliver high-quality experiences from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has a valid Italian Tourist Guide qualification and fluent Italian and English, with proven guiding experience in Rome/Lazio and a track record coordinating suppliers, transport and guest services.

Competenze

• Valid Italian Tourist Guide qualification and registration.
• Proven experience as a professional Tourist Guide in Rome/Lazio.
• Experience in tour operations, DMC, tour operator or travel agency.
• Fluent Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Driving license is an advantage.

Mansioni

• Lead and conduct professional tours across Rome and Lazio.
• Plan and coordinate daily tours, itineraries, schedules and logistics.
• Coordinate with hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, attractions, local suppliers and partners.
• Manage tour bookings, tickets, reservations and operational arrangements.
• Coordinate drivers, guides and other service providers to ensure smooth tour execution.
• Monitor tours on the ground and handle last-minute changes or issues.
• Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure all services are delivered according to company standards and itineraries.
• Assist with supplier sourcing, coordination and service evaluation.
• Monitor operational costs, timing and service quality.
• Prepare operational updates and report incidents to management.
• Ensure compliance with Italian tourism regulations.

We are looking for an experienced Licensed Tour Guide & Operations Executive to join our team in the Greater Rome Metropolitan Area.

The role combines professional tour guiding with day-to-day tour operations, ensuring our guests receive a smooth, well-organized and high-quality experience from the beginning of the tour until completion.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Rome and Lazio, hold the required Italian tourist guide qualification, and have practical experience coordinating tours, suppliers, transportation and guest services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct professional tours across Rome and Lazio.
• Provide engaging and accurate information about local history, culture, attractions and destinations.
• Plan and coordinate daily tours, itineraries, schedules and logistics.
• Coordinate with hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, attractions, local suppliers and other partners.
• Manage tour bookings, tickets, reservations and operational arrangements.
• Coordinate drivers, guides and other service providers to ensure smooth tour execution.
• Monitor tours on the ground and handle any last-minute changes or operational issues.
• Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure all services are delivered according to company standards and agreed itineraries.
• Support the development and improvement of new tours, excursions and experiences in Lazio.
• Assist with supplier sourcing, coordination and service evaluation.
• Monitor operational costs, timing and service quality.
• Prepare operational updates and report incidents or issues to management.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable Italian tourism regulations.

Job Qualifications:

• Valid Italian Tourist Guide qualification and registration in the relevant national register.
• Proven experience as a professional Tourist Guide in Rome/Lazio.
• Previous experience in tour operations, DMC, tour operator or travel agency.
• Strong knowledge of Rome and Lazios main attractions, destinations and tourism services.
• Fluent Italian and English.
• Additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Arabic or Chinese are an advantage.
• Driving license is an advantage.
