CargoBeamer is seeking a dedicated Terminal Support Specialist to oversee terminal operations at Domodossola. You will check and log trailers, assist with loading/unloading, and shunt vehicles around the yard while complying with safety standards.

Required are several years of relevant experience, a PDT - A Shunting Driver certificate, forklift license, and fluency in English and Italian. A hands-on approach and strong collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics

We are seeking a dedicated Terminal Support Specialist (m/f/d) to oversee and facilitate the efficient operation of our terminal facilities at our location in Domodossola. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks essential to maintaining quality, efficiency, and compliance within our terminal operations.

What you’ll do:

• Check trailers, containers and swap bodies in and out.
• Check and log vehicle and load details (e.g. on a tablet/scanner).
• Help the team load and unload transport units and trains.
• Shunt and move trailers/containers/swap bodies around the terminal yard (e.g. with a terminal vehicle).
• Depending on your licence/experience, operate handling kit (e.g. forklift/reach stacker) and pitch in with general terminal tasks.
• Help keep the terminal safe, clean and tidy.

Your Background & Skills

• Completion of technical training, along with several years of relevant professional experience.
• Basic knowledge of business administration.
• Possession of a PDT - A Shunting Driver certificate.
• Solid understanding of rail shunting dynamics, both within and outside railway junctions.
• Familiarity with railway equipment and its routine maintenance procedures.
• Forklift driver's licence and proficiency in forklift maneuvering.
• Preferred: Experience in rail traffic management or a background in rail/transport operations.
• Strong focus on health and safety, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of terminal activities.
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to adapt flexibly to operational demands.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
