Job summary

Kardex Remstar is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our Life Cycle Services in the Lombardy region. You will service and maintain installed equipment, diagnose issues, and perform on-site upgrades, calibration, and repairs at customer sites.

Applicants should have an Electrotechnical/ Electronics/ Mechanical background, be prepared for on-call shifts, and hold a valid driving license B. Frequent travel in Lombardy is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiar with diagnostic methods; Technical / Mechanical / Electronic background.
• Willing to travel within Lombardy and be on-call for emergencies.
• Prepared to work outside office hours (weekends/evenings) as needed.
• Hold a valid driving license B.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and technical support on installed equipment and systems.
• Decide when products need modernization or replacement; diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and repair technical products at customer sites.
• Carry out remote diagnoses and periodic breakdown services.
• Build and maintain direct customer relationships through field work.

Your tasks

• Various maintenance and technical support activities for installed equipment and systems
• You determine when products need to be modernized or replaced, solve problems and contribute to resolving malfunctions
• Installing, configuring, calibrating and repairing technical products and systems at the customer's locations
• Carry out diagnoses remotely
• Periodic breakdown services
• You thrive on building customer connections and find fulfillment working directly in the field

Your profile

• Electrotechnical/ Electronics/ Mechanical diploma or comparable experience gained
• Familiar with diagnostic methods; Technical / Mechanical / Electronic background.
• It is also important that you: Are prepared to work outside office hours (weekends or evenings), contingent on the urgence of the issue at hand.
• Are prepared to be periodically available for on-call service.
• Are prepared to travel in the area of Lombardy
• Have a driving license B
