Lely Italia recruits a Technical Service Support for Milking to serve as the technical expert for our automatic milking robots. You will support Lely Centers with top-tier service, develop their expertise, and ensure solutions operate at peak performance.

Join a global leader in dairy automation, collaborate with technicians and colleagues worldwide, and participate in continuous product improvement. This role requires on-site work in Milano region; occasional international travel is expected.

Competenze

• Hold a Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science or a related field with 2–3 years in a technical service or engineering role, or hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with no work experience required.
• Excellent understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English spoken and written.
• Experience with hardware and software technologies; comfortable with diagnostic tools.

Mansioni

• Provide second-line technical support to Lely Center technicians via phone, remote support and ticket management.
• Deliver technical training courses and hands-on workshops to develop technicians' knowledge and skills.
• Assist installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of milking robots and herd management software.
• Visit farms for technical audits and validate solutions in the field.
• Test and validate new products and features; provide feedback for improvement.
• Share knowledge and best practices across Lely Centers network.
• Participate in monthly hotline (24/7) to support field technicians.
• Travel to Lely Campus in the Netherlands or other clusters for training and meetings.

Job Description

As a Technical Service Support for Milking, you will be the technical expert for our automatic milking robots. Your role is to support our Lely Centers in delivering excellent technical service, developing their expertise and ensuring our solutions perform at their best. By working closely with technicians, customers and Lely International, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and services.

What will you do?

• Provide second-line technical support to Lely Center technicians by resolving complex technical issues through phone, remote support and ticket management.
• Deliver technical training courses and hands‑on workshops to help Lely Center technicians develop their knowledge and skills.
• Support the installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of Lely milking robots and herd management software when additional technical expertise is required.
• Visit farms to perform technical audits, validate solutions in the field and support technicians during critical interventions.
• Test and validate new products, features and technical solutions, providing structured feedback to Lely International to support continuous improvement.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices across the network of Lely Centers.
• You monthly participate in the hotline (24/7), providing technical support to the field technicians.
• Occasionally travel to the Lely Campus in the Netherlands or to other Clusters for training, meetings and international projects.

We would like you to apply if you:

• Hold a Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2–3 years of experience in a technical service or engineering role, or hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline where prior work experience is not required.
• Have a good understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting.
• Speak and write fluent English.
• Enjoy working with both hardware and software technologies.
• Are familiar with digital tools and diagnostic applications.
• Basic knowledge of a programming language is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of the agricultural sector or dairy farming is an advantage, but not essential.
