Job summary

Sibelco Italia SPA is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Tiles & Engobes based in Maranello, Italy. You will be the technical reference for tile manufacturers, supporting trials on site and collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Innovation to drive growth.

This hybrid role requires English fluency, frequent travel (8–10 days/month), and strong problem-solving, product performance knowledge, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience in a technical customer-facing role such as technical sales, technical support, production, process, or product quality within ceramics, tiles, industrial minerals or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of product performance, quality and problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to analyze customer issues and support root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation, Supply Chain and customers.
• Analytical mindset with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted technical advisor to customers and support product trials on site.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment on product specifications.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer technical and production teams.
• Monitor product quality trends and support resolution with Operations.
• Lead investigations and root cause analysis of customer complaints.
• Support market intelligence and provide leadership with insights for decisions.
