Vusion is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support customers across Italy and Eastern Europe, designing technical solutions, configuring the platform, and coordinating implementations. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to translate business needs into technical outcomes.

The role requires a solid background in software applications, system integrations, networking, and IT infrastructure, with fluency in Italian and English.

Job Description

Reporting to the Solution Engineering team, the Solutions Engineer supports customers across Italy and Eastern Europe throughout the implementation of Vusion solutions.

Working closely with Sales, Product and Customer Success teams, you will understand customer business needs, design appropriate technical solutions, configure the platform, coordinate implementations, and ensure successful deployments.

This role requires a solid technical background and a good understanding of software applications, understanding code when needed, system integrations, networking and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Present Vusion solutions to leading retailers (Supermarkets, Pharmacies, Electronics stores, Gas stations ex. Coop)
• Configure Vusion solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Partner with Sales to understand customer business and technical requirements.
• Monitor projects using shared tools, ensuring that deadlines are met and costs are controlled.
• Coordinate implementation projects and ensure successful deployments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to integrations, infrastructure and solution configuration.
• Assemble, lead, and unite teams around pre-sales projects to prepare for roll-outs for retailers.
• Act as the single point of contact for customers (internal and external) for all operational issues - technical, integration, upgrade requests, and installations.
• Support the rest of the team in developing upgrades (templates, technical configurations) for all types of customers.

Technical Environment

Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, SQL, networking, IT infrastructure, SaaS platforms, Azure Microsoft, IoT and connected devices, retail technology solutions.

Qualifications

Mandatory

• Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fluent in Italian and English (The recruiter does not speak Italian)
• 2-4 years of experience as Solutions Engineer, Implementation Project Manager, or in project management / IT (network, infrastructure, etc.)

Preferred

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role
• Working knowledge of Python and JavaScript (reading and understanding code, modifying configuration or scripts when required).
• Interest in Retail, Artificial Intelligence, or Computer Vision, IoT industries
• Ability to use technical skills to manage projects, coordinate teams, and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-growing international company
• Organized, autonome, and with excellent interpersonal skills - ready to take on responsibility and thrive in a dynamic, ambitious environment

Ideal candidate

1.5 to 4 years of professional experience after graduation as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Project Manager, Implementation Engineer or Technical Consultant, with experience managing technical implementation projects. Strong exposure to retail customers and IoT solutions, with a solid understanding of software applications, system integration, networking and IT infrastructure.
