MetaSensing Srl, based in Milan, is seeking a Technical Business Interface Engineer to align engineering capabilities with aerospace programs and the company roadmap. You will act as the technical authority for the Business Development team and ensure coherence between technical reality and commercial strategy.

Reporting to the CEO, you will translate system-level engineering into strategic guidance, support customer engagements, and participate in program reviews.

Technical Business Interface Engineer – Aerospace Programs

Job purpose

The Technical Business Director, is responsible for driving the technical and strategic alignment of the Business Development organization, ensuring coherence between MetaSensing’s engineering capabilities, product roadmap, and commercial strategy across aerospace and radar programs.

The role is responsible for providing technical direction, interpretation, and oversight for all Business Development activities, ensuring that commercial positioning, proposals, and customer engagements are fully consistent with the company’s engineering reality and roadmap.

The position maintains a continuous and structured interface with engineering teams to stay fully aligned on system-level developments, technological evolution, and program progress. It translates this technical context into strategic input for Business Development, supporting decision-making, customer engagement, and long-term positioning.

This role does not manage engineering teams but acts as the technical authority and reference point for the Business Development organization.

Job tasks

• Act as technical director and primary technical authority for the Business Development team on all aerospace and radar programs.
• Maintain continuous and structured interface with engineering teams to ensure full awareness of system evolutions, technical developments, and program status.
• Translate engineering outputs into strategic technical guidance for commercial positioning and business development decisions.
• Define and validate the technical consistency of commercial proposals, bids, and customer-facing material.
• Support and guide the Business Development team during customer meetings, ensuring technical credibility and coherence of all communications.
• Provide technical assessment of opportunities, including feasibility, system compatibility, and alignment with company roadmap.
• Contribute to shaping commercial strategy from a technical standpoint, highlighting strengths, constraints, and differentiators of MetaSensing technologies.
• Oversee technical content used in proposals, presentations, and institutional engagements.
• Participate in key technical and program reviews as technical representative of the Business Development organization.
• Ensure structured flow of technical intelligence from engineering to Business Development, including risks, milestones, and key developments.
• Support high-level customer interactions and institutional engagements as technical spokesperson when required.
• Provide technical input to roadmap discussions relevant to commercial and strategic positioning.

Required skills and qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or related technical disciplines.
• Strong technical background in radar systems, aerospace systems, space payloads, or related engineering domains.
• Proven ability to understand complex system-level engineering architectures and translate them into business implications.
• Experience in acting as technical interface between engineering and commercial organizations in high-technology environments.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial and strategic drivers in aerospace/defense/space sectors.
• Ability to evaluate technical feasibility in relation to commercial opportunities and customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in international and multidisciplinary environments.
• Professional spoken and written English (mandatory).
• High level of autonomy, structured thinking, and decision-making capability.
• Strong leadership attitude in technical-commercial contexts.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in radar (SAR preferred), Earth Observation, or space payload programs.
• Previous experience in technical authority, technical lead, or system-level architect roles with commercial interface exposure.
• Background in business development, proposal management, or technical sales engineering in aerospace/defense/space sectors.
• Experience in defining or supporting product strategy from a technical standpoint.
• Strong track record in customer-facing technical roles.
• Knowledge of MetaSensing-relevant technologies (SAR systems, multi-band radar, compact payload architectures).
• Combination of technical engineering understanding and commercial/business development attitude is considered essential for the role.

Employment conditions

• 40 hours per week, on-site presence required.
