MetaSensing BV is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of payload structures for space applications. The role focuses on CAD design (Siemens NX) and integration of mechanical/thermal subsystems.

Candidate should have 3+ years in the field, strong CAD experience, and good English communication. The company operates full-time in Italy, requiring eligibility to work in Italy.

Job Duties:

• Mechanical design of the payload structure on CAD software (Siemens NX)
• Mechanical/Thermal system design and integration

Required skills and qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in CAD design
• Knowledge in manufacturing of metallic parts standards and 2D drawings standards
• Knowledge of solid mechanics
• Understanding of the design process (from concept through to delivery and in-service support)
• Good knowledge of the English language for the working environment
• Good communication and team-working skills

Desired Skills / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, ideally 5 years
• Experience with Siemens NX (harness design is a plus)
• Knowledge about space thermo-mechanical design (composite materials is a plus)
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to follow a fast-paced design scenario
• Ability to interact with manufacturers for the production phases

Candidate must be eligible to work in Italy.

Employment condition: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Offered salary range: € 35.000-45.000 gross annual
