Vector Renewables is looking for a Technical Advisory Project Engineer to join the team in Milan. This role will focus on providing technical support for Technical Due Diligence in M&A transactions and Project Finance for wind projects.

The successful candidate will perform assessments, conduct site visits, and monitor construction activities, while ensuring optimal project delivery. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and extensive experience in the wind energy sector are essential prerequisites.

Technical Advisory Project Engineer (Open)

Vector Renewables is seeking an experienced renewable energy professional to join the Technical Advisory team in Italy. The role involves providing technical support for Technical Due Diligence processes (M&A transactions, Project Finance and other activities) with a focus on wind projects. The position will be based in the Milan office, with desktop analysis and occasional onsite visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Technical Due Diligence for wind projects at various development stages.
• Conduct site visits to assess terrain, restrictions, and other constraints.
• Monitor construction projects to identify deviations.
• Visit operational projects to identify long-term issues.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (MSc a plus).
• ≥5 years of professional experience in the wind energy sector.
• Experience in project development, management, and technical due diligence.
• Knowledge of electrical and civil design review, site assessment, and contract review.
• Operational performance analysis and wind turbine inspections.
• Grid connection procedures.
• Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages a plus.
• Commercial mindset and bidding experience.
• Willingness to travel and spend short periods onsite.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving license.

Additional Requirements

• Chartered Engineer qualification a plus.
• Technical knowledge of PV and BESS projects a plus.
• Experience with WindPro, WindSim, WAsP and PVsyst.
• Experience in energy yield assessments of wind and PV projects.
