Job summary

Withers in Padua is seeking a very organised junior lawyer (avvocato) or CPA (commercialista) to join the Private Client and Tax department. The role is based in Padua and requires strong Italian and English communication, tax knowledge, and a proactive, client‑focused mindset.

The successful candidate will handle legal research, document management, drafting memoranda, and support business development and client events, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent academics (not less than 100/110).
• Fluent Italian and English communication skills (C1) mandatory.
• Qualified avvocato or commercialista.
• 1–2 years of tax experience preferred, especially in private client & wealth management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Manage and review documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Draft tax and legal memoranda.
• Support in pitches, tenders and business development activities.
• Assist with client events and communications.
• Produce accurate work using firm software and document management systems.
• Draft first engagement letters; ensure AML/KYC compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, legal staff and support teams.
• Assist with monthly billing using Elite time recording system.
• Perform general administrative duties.
