Job summary

Alpitronic seeks a System Engineer for Patents & IP to act as a key technical interface between R&D, System Engineering, and IP stakeholders, including patent attorneys. You will identify patentable solutions within EV fast‑charging tech and help build a strong IP portfolio.

The role requires collaboration with developers, technical analysis of inventions, and support for patent applications, prior‑art searches, and FTO assessments, while promoting IP awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

Degree in electrical/mechatronics/mechanical engineering, physics, or similar.
Several years of technical work with strong exposure to patents and IP analysis.
Fluent English; Italian and/or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical liaison between engineering teams and IP stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers to identify patentable technical solutions within EV fast‑charging systems.
Perform technical analysis of inventions, including identifying inventive aspects and differentiating from existing solutions.
Support the preparation of patent applications with structured technical descriptions and drawings.
Conduct and support technical prior‑art searches and analyses.
Provide technical input for patent infringement and freedom‑to‑operate evaluations.
Maintain and develop a technical IP knowledge database for R&D and promote IP awareness.
