Topcon Positioning Group in Italy seeks a System Test Engineer for its construction and machine control solutions. You will design test plans, write procedures, and validate hardware and firmware across the full product line at the Concordia sulla Secchia facility near Modena.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, GNSS knowledge, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Travel may be required; English fluency is essential.

Competenze

• Knowledge of serial, ISO CAN, radio, and other machine to machine communication type.
• Understanding of basics of GNSS and Machine Control theory is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills in basic Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work with individuals from a variety of technical and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to prioritize and handle many tasks/activities at once.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move in, on, and around construction equipment.
• Prior product test/development experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Fluent in English.

Mansioni

• Develop test plans that meet new product delivery schedules.
• Author test procedures for new features and regression testing.
• Execute Product Validation and Verification efficiently.
• Support engineering by evaluating machine performance for hardware/firmware releases.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure products meet them.
• Troubleshoot reported problems and provide technical support to sales and customers.
• Improve and expand lab and field-testing capabilities.
• Coordinate with product management, support, sales, production, engineering and other departments on field issues.
