Job summary

Altia is seeking a Data Scientist & AI Specialist to lead ML, NLP, and generative AI initiatives across international environments. You will design and deploy models, build scalable data pipelines for environmental footprints and LCA data, and implement time-series forecasting and data imputation while ensuring GDPR and EU AI Act compliance.

Key skills include Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and SQL, with experience in MLOps, GPUs, and containerised workflows.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or 5+ years higher education in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience with Python for data processing.
• Extensive experience developing ML/AI models and applications.
• At least 2 years in Life-Cycle Assessment or environmental footprint data.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML, NLP, and generative AI models.
• Build scalable data pipelines for heterogeneous datasets.
• Implement time-series forecasting, nowcasting and data imputation.
• Ensure compliance with EU AI Act and GDPR; promote transparency and bias mitigation.
