Naval Air Station Sigonella seeks a Sport Program Manager to lead recreational and athletic programs in line with CNIC policies and DoD guidance. You will oversee program delivery, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with DoD and CNIC standards while supervising staff and delivering trainings.

The role requires knowledge of funding streams, procurement, equipment management, and strong MS Office skills to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for leadership.

Competenze

• Master's degree or 2 years of graduate study with major in Fitness/Sports Administration (or related field).
• Specialized experience equivalent to NF-3/GS-7 level or higher required.

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); US NAS Sigonella, Italy.

Incumbent serves as a Sport Program Manager. One (1) year of specialized experience in fitness/sports equivalent to NF-3/GS-7 level OR a Master's/equivalent graduate degree/2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with major study in Fitness or Sports Administration (or related field).

Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) to perform successfully the duties of the position.

KSA's:

• Knowledge that enables the employee to competently and independently carry out sports programs through the proper application of principles, concepts and techniques of recreation to specific needs of the community to be served.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON) and CNIC policies and procedures governing the recreational activity certifications.
• Knowledge of both non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and appropriated fund (APF) funding, government procurement procedures, cash handling procedures, fiscal, personnel, material and cash management.
• Knowledge of various specialty equipment, both resale and fixed assets to ensure quality material exists to enhance programs.
• Knowledge of the physical and psychological factors that impact training, performance and recovery of individuals and team sports.
• Knowledge of the governing body rules for offered athletic events.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and other operating systems used in the program area.
• Ability to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work within the Branch.
• Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties.
• Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
