Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Third Party Commodity Manager to ensure a complete European portfolio by identifying external solutions when internal products don’t fully meet needs. You will manage the supplier lifecycle from qualification through onboarding and contracting, ensuring documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MCIPS or equivalent procurement certification.
• Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of medical/IVD supplier contracting frameworks.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in supplier qualification and onboarding per corporate standards (DBS).
• Ability to travel up to 30% in Europe and UK; valid driver’s license.
• Lean methodologies or Kaizen experience is a plus.
• CCNL classification per CBA 2nd level Commercio noted.

Responsibilities

• Identify third-party solutions to complement internal products across Europe.
• Manage end-to-end third-party supplier lifecycle: qualification, onboarding, contracting, monitoring.
• Ensure third-party products are certified, compliant, priced appropriately, and documented.
• Interface between Sales, Tender, Application Specialists and internal functions to translate needs into sourcing strategies.
• Maintain centralized catalogue with contracts, certifications, pricing, data and documents.
• Support continuous improvement, market analysis and category initiatives to reduce risk and optimize costs across EMEA.
