Job summary

Allianz in Milan seeks a senior Property & Liability underwriting professional to develop and execute the Italian market strategy, reporting to the Property Team Leader. Based in Milan, you will support the Allianz Mid Corporate targets and act as contact for selected agents working with the Mid-Corporate team.

You will collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to drive performance, pricing discipline and cross-selling, while ensuring governance and consistency

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Law.
• 9–15 years proven underwriting experience for Property, PD/BI, Theft and Liability for corporate clients.
• Preference for multinational client experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Data analytics and market analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work in an international organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive financial targets.
• Liaise with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to support marketing strategies and cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and governance adherence to Rules and Principles.
• Develop and implement new or modified products.
• Support acquisition of new business and retention (agents/brokers).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
