Job summary

Allianz in Milan seeks a Property Underwriting professional to develop and execute the strategy for Property & Multinational risks in the Italian market and to support the local strategy to meet Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will also serve as the contact person for agents and brokers working with the Property Team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Law.
• 1–2 years' proven experience in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients both PD/BI and Theft.
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients and knowledge in Property.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration life cycle.
• Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis skills.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing robust wordings.
• Experience in driving underwriting projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level with Head of Property to drive financial targets.
• Review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle with functional areas.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve marketing strategies including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines and local regulatory framework.
• Support development and implementation of new/modified products.
• Support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent/broker negotiations).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
