Job summary

Allianz Spa is seeking a Senior Property and Liability Underwriter based in Milan to develop and execute strategies for Property & Liability risks in the Italian market. You will align with the Group and support Mid Corporate targets, while serving as contact for selected agents alongside the Mid-Corporate team.

You will lead underwriting across PD/BI and Theft/Liability, ensuring adherence to authority levels and governance.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Law.
9–15 years underwriting experience for Corporate Property lines.
Experience with PD/BI and Theft and Liability.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to operate in an international organization.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Data analytics and proficiency with Office 365.

Responsibilities

Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive the achievement of financial targets.
Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
Work closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
Ensure underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines and local regulatory framework.
Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products.
Support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business.
