Job summary

Allianz Spa in Italy seeks a Senior Market Facing Underwriter to develop and execute the strategy for Property & Liability risks in the Italian market. You will be the main contact for selected agents working with the Mid-Corporate team, supporting them in business development.

You will align local strategy with Allianz Mid Corporate targets, collaborate with Sales, Claims and other product lines to drive cross-selling, ensure underwriting discipline, and support new product initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Law.
• 9–15 years of underwriting experience in profitable Property including PD/BI and Theft and Liability for Corporate Clients.
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of pricing and market analysis.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing robust wordings is advantageous.
• Experience driving underwriting projects is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
• Office 365 and collaboration tools proficiency.
• Data reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines are followed.
• Steer and control portfolio locally to meet financial targets.
• Coordinate with Sales, Claims and other product lines to support marketing strategies including cross-selling.
• Maintain underwriting discipline and align with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
• Support development and implementation of new or modified products.
• Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business (agent/broker negotiations).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
