MSC Cruises is seeking a highly structured and proactive Finance Senior Manager to oversee and coordinate Group crew expenses for the Crew Employer. The role is based in Italy and acts as a key link between FP&A, Crew Management, Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure crew cost dynamics are understood, challenged, and translated into robust budget assumptions and governance routines.

Competenze

• 15+ years of experience in FP&A, controlling, business partnering, or operational finance.
• Strong ability to coordinate across multiple teams, align stakeholders, and drive progress without direct hierarchical authority.
• Excellent analytical mindset, with the ability to link operational drivers to financial impacts and explain variances through clear cause-effect logic.

Mansioni

• Coordinate end-to-end monitoring of Group crew expenses and ensure visibility across cost drivers, entities, ships, and areas.
• Act as finance point of contact for crew cost topics, aligning inputs from Italy, Malta, and Group functions with FP&A standards.
• Explain cause-effect relationships behind cost movements, variances, and trends to stakeholders.
• Build relationships across Finance, Crew Management, HR, Operations, Procurement, and other teams for timely information flow and issue resolution.
• Define governance routines and ensure ownership is clearly defined and followed up.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and challenge of crew cost assumptions with evidence-based inputs.
• Analyze variances vs budget/forecast/prior year and identify underlying drivers.
• Translate complex crew cost dynamics into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to reforecasting and mid-term planning, reflecting risks and opportunities.
• Support business cases and initiatives to optimize crew costs and governance.
