Job summary

Deel is looking for a seasoned UK/EMEA Tax Lead to drive compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and cross-functional teams to manage multinational tax matters and enable compliant growth in a fast-paced, global environment.

You will monitor regulatory changes, coordinate audits, and implement efficient tax processes to support scale and international expansion across Europe, the UK, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with tax focus preferred.
• ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in UK and/or EMEA corporate tax.
• Strong experience with UK corporate tax and VAT; IFRS IAS 12 knowledge; US GAAP exposure a plus.
• Familiarity with tax audits, transfer pricing concepts, and intercompany structures in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage UK and EMEA tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee direct and indirect taxes (UK corporation tax, PAYE, VAT, and regional levies)
• Coordinate preparation and review of local tax returns and statutory accounts with external advisors
• Support income tax provision process for UK/EMEA entities under IFRS (IAS 12)
• Act as main contact for EMEA tax audits and liaise with authorities and advisers
• Monitor changes in UK/EMEA tax legislation and advise on risks/opportunities
• Support transfer pricing and intercompany matters across EMEA with group policy alignment
• Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations to provide practical tax guidance
• Help standardize tax processes, controls, and documentation across EMEA to support scale
