Job summary

Deel is seeking a senior tax professional to drive UK and EMEA tax compliance and reporting, partnering with Finance, Legal, and cross-functional teams to manage multi-jurisdictional tax matters. You will monitor regulatory changes, advise on risks and opportunities, and coordinate audits to support scalable, global operations.

The role focuses on UK corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and intercompany matters across EMEA, ensuring accurate filings and robust tax processes for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; tax focus preferred
• ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification preferred
• 6+ years of progressive experience in UK and/or EMEA corporate tax
• Strong experience with UK corporate tax and VAT; broader EMEA exposure desirable; IFRS / IAS 12 knowledge; US GAAP exposure a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage UK and EMEA tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee direct and indirect taxes (UK corporation tax, PAYE, VAT, and regional levies)
• Coordinate preparation and review of local tax returns and statutory accounts with external advisors
• Support income tax provision process for UK/EMEA entities under IFRS (IAS 12)
• Act as main contact for EMEA tax audits and liaise with authorities and advisers
• Monitor changes in UK/EMEA tax legislation and advise on risks/opportunities
• Support transfer pricing and intercompany matters across EMEA with group policy alignment
• Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations to provide practical tax guidance
• Help standardize tax processes, controls, and documentation across EMEA to support scale
