Job summary

Baker Hughes in Italy is seeking a Components Commodity Buyer to develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities, manage supplier relationships, and drive value through cost, quality, and delivery improvements.

You will collaborate across Product Leadership, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing, negotiate terms, and support New Product Development with supplier selection and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• Experience in Procurement or Commodity Management.
• Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategies for the assigned commodity to meet procurement KPIs.
• Integrate commodity strategies with Product Leadership, Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing objectives.
• Support New Product Development through supplier selection, development and management.
• Partner with Product Leadership, Sales and Engineering on product strategy for the commodity.
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead purchase orders and partnerships to maximize value.
