Job summary

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, invites applications for a Research Assistant/Laboratory Manager to join a unit focused on human hematopoietic development and disease modeling. The role combines hands-on research with day-to-day laboratory coordination.

Responsibilities include stem cell culture, mouse work, and a range of molecular assays, with opportunities to contribute to publications and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in biomedical or life-science with hands-on research experience.
• Experience with mouse experimentation is required.
• Experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience with human pluripotent stem cells is an asset.
• High accuracy and troubleshooting skills; analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Culture and differentiate human pluripotent stem cells and primary cells.
• Perform mouse work including breeding, genotyping and in vivo procedures.
• Conduct PCR, RT-PCR, Western blot, ELISA and flow cytometry assays.
• Plan experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot and optimize protocols.
• Support training of lab members and contribute to publications.
• Maintain laboratory organization, inventories and records.
