Job summary

Baker Hughes in Italy is seeking a Steam Turbine and Axial Expander Design Engineer to design and develop turbine machines, lead integration of components, and support from concept to customer proposal.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering, fluency in English and Italian, strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration, and EU work permission. Initial pay range in Italy is EUR 38,605 to 59,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English and Italian and hold an EU work permit.

Responsibilities

• Support the conceptual design of steam turbine and axial expanders to enable customer technical proposal.
• Lead the design of new steam turbine and axial expander machines into the design system and integrate components to meet specifications.
• Implement turbine configurations in the design system per internal processes.
• Define 3D models, drafting and Bill of Materials while coordinating with external resources.
• Execute design or analysis tasks on Customer or New Product Development projects using engineering principles.
• Support supply chain during execution and commissioning phases.
