COSMED - The Metabolic Company in Rome is offering a 6-month paid internship in Verification & Validation (V&V) within the Engineering team. You will join a multidisciplinary environment to learn, perform in-vitro testing, and contribute to regulatory documentation.

The role targets curious and analytical individuals who are eager to work with medical devices and software, and who are ready to experiment, learn and grow in a technically demanding setting.

Competenze

• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with EU MDR 2017/745.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Curiosity with analytical and problem-solving attitude.
• Willingness to experiment, learn and challenge yourself.
• Interest in practical testing and regulatory documentation.
• Proactive attitude to investigate issues and find roots.

Mansioni

• Gain hands-on experience in verification and validation of medical devices and software.

We are looking for a curious, motivated person who is eager to learn and take on new challenges to join the Engineering team at COSMED (Rome) for a 6-month paid internship in Verification & Validation (V&V).

What we are looking for

• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Good knowledge of the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR 2017/745)
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with professionals with different backgrounds
• Curiosity and a strong analytical and problem-solving attitude
• Willingness to experiment, learn and challenge yourself
• Interest in both practical testing activities and technical/regulatory documentation
• Proactive attitude and willingness to investigate issues, identify root causes and contribute to their resolution

What you will do

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Verification & Validation of medical devices and software, taking part in activities such as:

• Performing and documenting in-vitro tests and experimental activities
• Defining and executing test protocols
• Analysing and interpreting test results
• Investigating anomalies and supporting problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Supporting product and software verification and validation activities
• Preparing compliance reports against applicable standards, guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the assessment of product compliance with relevant guidelines and technical requirements
• Preparing technical documentation and test reports
• Collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, and other multidisciplinary teams
• Working with testing equipment and methodologies in a highly technical and multidisciplinary environment
