Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.P.A. seeks a Senior Process Technologist to join the HQ Process Engineering Office. You will develop process models, work with the automation team, and support commissioning of new steel plants.

You will lead data analysis, create simulations, and define process guidelines while coordinating with Level 1/2 teams. International travel is required. A strong physics/automation background and 5+ years in steel are expected.

Competenze

• Degree in engineering/technical field (e.g. metallurgy, materials, mechanics).
• At least 5 years of experience in the steel industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in steel processing studies, process simulation and project development.
• Knowledge of the main mechanical processes.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in working with databases.
• Proficient with C, C++, Python, or other programming language used to develop models.
• Experience with FEM (Abaqus) is desirable.

Mansioni

• Data analysis: analyze and optimize process parameters with Level 1/2 automation.
• Modeling: develop process simulations and mathematical models for online/offline use.
• Process guidelines: prepare process descriptions and documentation for design stages across departments.
• Commissioning site: act as interface between Process Engineering and automation teams during cold tests, hot commissioning, and ramp-up.
• Performance tests: lead performance guarantee testing and coordinate specialists.
• Post-commissioning tasks: collect operational data and reconcile parameters.
• R&D: benchmark alternative technologies and propose process improvements.
