Tenova S.p.A. in Castellanza (VA) is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to design automation systems and supervise their commissioning.

The role includes coordinating suppliers, supporting software engineers, and ensuring FAT and site commissioning activities are delivered on time. Candidates should have PLC-based automation experience for steelworks or similar plants, good English, and be willing to travel up to 30% within Italy and abroad.

Competenze

Experience in defining and designing PLC-based automation systems (components, distribution, networks, SCADA platforms)
Knowledge of electrical CAD (AutoCAD and SPAC)
DCS knowledge is a plus
Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad (up to 30%)

Mansioni

Definition and structuring of automation systems
Preparation of automation system engineering (system architecture, networks, remote I/O, motor list, I/O list, cable list)
Preparation of technical specifications for purchase of control systems (PC/PLC, software), panels and accessories
Supervision and coordination of suppliers
Support for software engineers who develop automation
Supervision and coordination of testing activities for panels and automation systems (FAT)
Supervision and coordination of automation system commissioning activities
