Leaf Space S.r.l. in Lomazzo, Italy, seeks a Software Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure the networking stack for a rapidly growing GSaaS satellite constellation. You will tackle routing, SDN control planes, link management, and secure data transport across inter-satellite and ground links.

This role blends deep networking with real-time systems and requires collaboration with RF, DSP, FPGA, and SW teams. Hybrid work, meal vouchers, and training opportunities are offered.

Competenze

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in networking software development for distributed, embedded or real-time systems.
• Strong expertise in networking protocols, distributed systems, cross-layer optimization and software-defined networking (SDN).

Mansioni

• Design and implement networking protocols for inter-satellite and satellite-ground communication, including routing and link-state management.
• Develop distributed mesh-network algorithms that adapt to dynamic topology changes.
• Architect SDN-based networking frameworks, including programmable control-plane logic for dynamic topology management.
• Integrate cybersecurity into all layers of the communication stack, including encryption and secure routing for space systems.
• Collaborate with RF, DSP, FPGA, and security teams to ensure end-to-end secure communication.
