Leaf Space S.r.l. seeks a Senior RF Systems Engineer to own the RF/communications architecture for TreeNet, an always‑on mesh connectivity solution. You will define link budgets, MAC/PHY decisions, and waveform choices while engaging external node designers to ensure architectural intent is met.

You will also implement DSP algorithms for FPGA/processor platforms and contribute to verification campaigns. Strong English, MSc, and 7+ years in RF systems are required; hybrid work is offered from

Competenze

• 7+ years of professional RF systems engineering experience.
• Experience with link budgets for space or long-range RF systems.
• Experience working with external hardware vendors on RF interfaces and performance requirements.

Mansioni

• Own the RF/communications architecture and drive its evolution through the product life cycle.
• Lead link budget engineering across operating scenarios and configurations.
• Design and specify MAC/PHY behavior and channel access strategy.
• Analyze availability and performance across orbital scenarios.
• Interface with external node designers/producers to ensure RF design alignment.
• Translate architecture decisions into engineering requirements and specifications.
• Support verification/validation campaigns and DSP algorithm development for FPGAs/cores.
• Contribute to architecture documents, analyses, and simulations.
• Coordinate with regulatory/licensing teams as needed.
• Serve as focal point for RF/comms topics with partners.
