DXC Technology Italy is seeking a Software Developer Consultant to join the Custom Application Offering in Bari. The role involves autonomously designing and delivering software solutions for upgrades or new applications, collaborating with BAs and PMs to ensure alignment with business goals.

The ideal candidate has strong Java/JEE experience, Spring, microservices and DevOps knowledge, plus familiarity with AI/ML basics and cloud services.

Competenze

• Bachelor or Master Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.).
• Experience with Digital Development Services, Agile Development, DevOps, Cloud-based apps and Microservices patterns.
• Strong coding experience in Java EE, Spring, SPA frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI/ML tech, cloud AI services and integration of AI APIs into enterprise apps.
• Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall processes and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work with web-development tools and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Solid understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.

Job Description

DXC Technology Italy is looking for a Software Developer Consultant to join the Custom Application Offering.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously design, develop and execute business and technical software solutions to implement new or enhanced applications (upgrades or conversions)


• Analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems using appropriate solutions and tools


• Act as a direct point of contact with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction


• Contribute to the definition and maintenance of development standards and best practices within the team


• Provide guidance and support to junior developers on delivery activities


• Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies

We Require

• Bachelor or Master Degree (a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc. is a plus)


• Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, Cloud-based applications and Microservices architecture and patterns


• Strong technical experience writing code using languages: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot, etc.), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns and architecture design, and SQL/NoSQL databases


• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, such as cloud AI services, LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI), basic ML frameworks and integration of AI APIs into enterprise applications.


• Knowledge of software development processes (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps


• Ability to work with web-development tools for new applications with use of AI-assisted engineering tools


• Solid understanding of modern software design and development methodologies

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, a focus on results, sound decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Location: Bari (BA), with Smart Working possibility.

Offer Package

The position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €20,000.

Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per il personale dipendente da imprese esercenti servizi di telecomunicazione) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
