Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex energy and infrastructure projects in Europe, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence on site in Milan.

You will coordinate construction, installation, testing and handover, manage subcontractors and stakeholders, and foster a strong safety culture while staying within budget.

Competenze

• Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Significant site-based construction, installation or commissioning experience.

The Opportunity

As Site Manager, you will be the senior Hitachi Energy representative on site, responsible for coordinating all construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Working closely with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors and project stakeholders, you will drive safe and efficient project execution while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring contractual commitments are met.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to bring teams together to achieve project goals in demanding site environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead all site activities from mobilization through commissioning and final handover.
• Create and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy standards, customer requirements and local regulations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
• Plan, organize and monitor site activities to ensure delivery against project schedules and milestones.
• Act as the primary point of contact on site for customers, authorities and key stakeholders.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved specifications, quality requirements and contractual obligations.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation and recovery plans.
• Manage site logistics, materials and resources to support efficient project execution.
• Support cost control, change management and commercial performance.
• Lead, coach and develop site personnel while promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant discipline.
• Significant experience managing site-based construction, installation, commissioning or project execution activities.
• Proven success leading complex industrial, infrastructure, energy or EPC projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, customers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction, installation, testing and commissioning processes.
• Understanding of project scheduling, risk management and cost control principles.
• A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience within Power Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, Data Centres, Industrial Infrastructure or related sectors would be highly desirable.
• Proficiency with project planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel and work across domestic and international project sites.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

Starting from: €44,800 gross annual salary

In addition to the base salary, this role includes a performance bonus and a results-based bonus, designed to reward both individual contribution and company performance.

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
