Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a CAPEX Project Lead at the Sesto Fiorentino site to drive capital investments and engineering projects.

You will work with the Engineering Manager from definition through installation, testing and qualification, across equipment, utilities and plant infrastructure, ensuring GMP and safety compliance. Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities or capital-project execution, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, supplier coordination and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Engineering Manager in defining the site investment plan, converting priorities into defined engineering projects.
• Lead projects from technical definition through installation, testing, start-up and closure, ensuring investments are ready for operational use.
• Monitor scope, timelines, costs, risks and actions to keep projects aligned with objectives and enable timely decisions.
• Coordinate the installation and commissioning of equipment, utilities and plant systems for safe, compliant solutions.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS and Engineering to minimize disruption and protect operations continuity.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and technical partners to meet GMP, quality and safety standards.
• Support qualification activities and IQ/OQ documentation with Quality and Validation.
• Prepare CAPEX documentation, cost estimates and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Maintain drawings, manuals, specifications and records with accurate technical information.
• Contribute to EHS risk assessments for equipment and facility modifications.
