Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Sesto Fiorentino is seeking a CAPEX Project Lead to shape the future of our facility through capital investment and engineering projects.

You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to take projects from definition through installation, testing, start-up and qualification, ensuring GMP, safety, quality and budget requirements are met. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, planning, and validation to deliver compliant, dependable site

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities or capital-project execution in a regulated environment.
• Understanding of project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, cost, risk, reporting.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, technical documentation and equipment qualification principles a bonus.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills; coordinate stakeholders.
• Good level of English for technical docs and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Engineering Manager to define the site investment plan and translate priorities into engineering projects.
• Lead projects from technical definition through installation, testing, start-up and closure for operational use.
• Monitor scope, timelines, costs, risks and actions to stay aligned with objectives.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, utilities, and plant systems.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS and Engineering to minimize disruption and protect operations.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and partners to meet GMP, quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Support qualification activities and IQ/OQ documentation with Quality and Validation.
• Prepare CAPEX documentation, cost estimates and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Maintain drawings, manuals, specs, certifications and project records.
• Contribute to EHS risk assessments for equipment and facility modifications.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and dependable site solutions throughout project execution.
