Nokia in Bari, Puglia, seeks a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer to drive design, testing and validation of PIC-based photonic devices across R&D and production.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet system requirements and optimize device performance, using Lumerical, HFSS and ADS, and programming in Python or C/C++. MS or PhD and 2+ years of hands-on silicon photonics experience are required, with strong communication of requirements to engineers.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience in silicon photonic device design, characterization and modeling.
• Strong understanding of optics and electromagnetics.
• Experience with cross-functional teams across IC, packaging and test.

Mansioni

• Own the design, characterization, and modeling of silicon photonic devices.
• Collaborate with mix of IC, packaging and test teams to enable co-design.
• Define and implement test plans and verify performance against requirements.
