Huawei Italy Research Centers in Milan seeks a Senior Digital Visual Designer to join the Milan Aesthetic Research Center (MARC). The role focuses on developing innovative visual solutions for HarmonyOS across Huawei devices and digital interfaces.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create striking visuals, define product visions, and ensure brand consistency in a multicultural setting. A strong portfolio and English fluency are required.

Senior Digital Visual Designer in a nutshell

At Milan Aesthetic Research Center we are looking for a Senior Digital Visual Designer to join our multidisciplinary design team based in Milan. The team’s mission is to explore and develop innovative aesthetic solutions for the Harmony Operating System and all Huawei devices.

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Collaborate with designers, researchers, and developers to conceptualize and design visually compelling solutions
• Research and analyze emerging market trends across both design aesthetics and technology.
• Conduct benchmark analyses of products, services, and digital experiences.
• Define UX concepts, future product visions, and user scenarios for next-generation products and services within the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
• Create high-quality visuals for digital interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience while maintaining brand consistency
• Contribute to the art direction and overall visual strategy of the team’s projects
• Interact and potentially collaborate with motion designers and/or 3D artists (if applicable) or experiment directly with motion & 3D to enhance visual concepts

What are the skills required for this position?

• Proven experience in UI design and Art Direction, for digital products or ideally operating systems
• Strong portfolio showcasing advanced visual design skills and creativity
• A deep interest in technology and a passion for exploring cutting-edge design trends
• Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and AI generative tools (Midjourney, Magnific, Kling)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A team player who can also work independently, with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Willingness to work in a multicultural and international environment.

Other Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of motion design (e.g., After Effects) and/or 3D modeling/animation tools (e.g., Cinema 4D)
• Familiarity with design systems and prototyping tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within a team environment

• We offer a gross annual salary typically ranging from €50.000 to €65.000 determined according to objective criteria such as professional experience, competencies, and seniority. The applicable collective bargaining agreement is the CCNL Telecommunications, within level C3.
